Program Overview

The Adaptive Bike Program, in collaboration with STARS, provides accessible cycling opportunities for individuals with cognitive and/or physical impairments. Through n.a.s.a., a variety of adaptive bicycles—including single, tandem, and specially designed recumbent models—are available for daily, weekly, or extended use from spring through fall. The program is committed to empowering physically challenged biking enthusiasts to enjoy the freedom and independence that cycling offers. All adaptive bikes are available for checkout to eligible participants, ensuring that everyone has the chance to experience the outdoors and engage in healthy activity.

Specially built recumbent bicycles are a central feature of the program, designed to accommodate a wide range of abilities and needs. These bikes make it possible for most physically challenged individuals to safely and comfortably participate in biking activities, promoting inclusion and well-being.
