Hunting

Experience the Outdoors Again

Overview

Program Overview

Making Hunting Accessible

For many outdoor enthusiasts, hunting is more than a hobby—it’s a tradition, a connection to nature, and a way to spend meaningful time with family and friends.

The n.a.s.a. Hunting Program is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities, mobility challenges, and other physical limitations continue to enjoy hunting opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.

Through adaptive equipment, volunteer support, community partnerships, and accessible hunting opportunities, we work to remove barriers and create unforgettable outdoor experiences.

Opportunities for All Abilities

Every participant’s needs are different, and our volunteers work hard to help create safe, enjoyable, and successful hunting experiences.

Opportunities include:

🦌 Big Game hunting

🐻 Bear hunting

🪶Pheasant hunting

🏹 Archery opportunities

🌲 Accessible outdoor experiences

Programs and opportunities vary throughout the year based on volunteer availability, land access, and participant needs.

Adaptive Equipment & Support

n.a.s.a. maintains equipment and resources designed to help individuals overcome physical barriers and safely enjoy time outdoors.

Support may include:

  • Adaptive hunting equipment
  • Transportation assistance
  • Volunteer guides and mentors
  • Accessible hunting locations
  • Equipment transportation and setup
  • Outdoor accessibility solutions

Our goal is to make participation possible while preserving the independence, excitement, and traditions that make hunting special.

More Than the Harvest

Success isn’t always measured by a filled tag.

For many participants, the experience is about:

  • Spending time outdoors
  • Reconnecting with family traditions
  • Building confidence
  • Sharing time with volunteers and friends
  • Creating lifelong memories

Some of our most meaningful experiences happen around a campfire, in a hunting blind, or while simply enjoying a sunrise in the woods.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the backbone of our hunting programs.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Hunting guides and mentors
  • Transportation assistance
  • Equipment setup
  • Property support
  • Adaptive equipment maintenance
  • Event and program coordination

Whether you’re an experienced hunter or simply enjoy helping others experience the outdoors, there are many ways to get involved.

The Outdoors Belong to Everyone

The hunting program reflects the very spirit upon which n.a.s.a. was founded: helping others enjoy the outdoors regardless of physical limitations.

We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, traditions, and excitement that hunting and outdoor recreation provide.

🌲 Preserving Outdoor Traditions

For many individuals, hunting represents freedom, independence, and a lifelong connection to the outdoors.

Through the support of volunteers and community partners, n.a.s.a. helps ensure those traditions can continue for generations to come.

Because physical challenges should never prevent someone from experiencing the outdoors they love.
