Adaptive Snow Ski Program

In partnership with Mt. La Crosse and Whitetail Ridge, we provide two locations to experience the thrill of snow skiing and tubing. Nasa provides: specialized downhill and cross country ski equipment, trained instructors, lift tickets, helmets, and goggles (if needed).

Mt. La Crosse Downhill skiing

  1. In partnership with the La Crosse Area Family YMCA we provide “ski events’ throughout the winter where numerous participants will have the opportunity to ski, either sitting or standing. All costs are covered by Nasa. Contact the Inclusion and Adapted Department at the YMCA for dates and registration at (608) 519-5516.
  2. Nasa provides private lessons for individuals to ski, either sitting or standing, directly with the Mt. La Crosse Ski School at your convenience. Lessons are one hour long and all costs are covered by Nasa. Contact the ski school at (608) 788-0044 or snowsports@mtlacrosse.com

Whitetail Ridge (near Fort McCoy):Downhill skiing, cross country skiing and snow tubing

  1. Nasa provides private lessons for individuals to downhill ski directly with the Ski School at Whitetail Ridge at your convenience. Equipment is available for both sit skiing or stand up skiing. Lessons are one hour and all costs are covered by Nasa. Contact the skill school at 608-388-4498.
  2. Nasa provides an adaptive cross country sit ski for individuals to ski the 5 miles of groomed trails. Nasa covers the costs of the equipment and trail pass only. Instructors are not provided. Contact Ski School to reserver the equipment at 608-388-4498.
  3. Nasa will provide a pass for snow tubing to slide down the five 800 ft. Runs. A magic carpet ride makes the ride uphill a breeze. Nasa covers the cost of the pass. Instructors are not provided. No pre-registration required. PLEASE NOTE: Nasa has action track chairs at each location to help transport participants
    from their vehicles to all of the activities at Mt. La Crosse and Whitetail Ridge.
